There were two more medals for Barnet Copthall competitors in Cadiz yesterday - both silver. In the diving, Susan Brierly went one better than her two bronze medals in earlier events with a silver in the Womens Platform. John Rittenhouse saw his European record snatched from him by the winner but still came away with a second place in the Mens 200 back (50-54).
Congratulations to diver Susan Brierley of Barnet Copthall who won bronze medals in both the Women’s 3m Springboard and 1m Springboard (30-34rs) and to synchronised swimmer Emma Harvey (Barnet Copthall at the moment, soon to be of Aruba!) who won bronze in the Women’s Synchro Technical Solo (30-39yrs).
All the entry cards for the Novices Meet have been posted. I am concerned that they may get held up because of the problems with the postal service so could you let me know if you haven't received them by the end of next week.
Yet another record I missed at Nationals, so apologies to Maddie Tichborne who broke her own 800m freestyle record this Summer with an excellent 9:08.55 - this in addition, of course, to becoming National Champion at 1500m!
Maddie Tichborne (13yrs): 800 freestyle in 9:08.55
