In the final day of the Nationals, Jessie Porter swam a PB in the 50 free to record a time of 28.01. In the final of the 15/16 yrs 100 fly, Oliver Keegan (one of only two 15 year olds in this final) held onto both his time and his 9th place from yesterday's semis.
How great is this! In the 17/18 years 200 back final, two of the leading swimmers were in fact foreign swimmers and as such not eligible to win medals - so Charlie Boldison won a silver medal in this event. This despite, as previously pointed out, being only 17 years and four days on the date of the swim! Congratulations Charlie!
Oliver Keegan swam two great races in the 100 fly today. In the heats he swam a PB of over a second to qualify for the semi-finals and then in the semis improved his time by a further second to swim a 57.73 and qualify for tomorrow's 15/16 final in 9th place - the second fastest 15 year old. Good luck to him for the final.
Charlie Boldison had a great swim in the Men's 50 back this morning. He swam a PB of 27.09 and qualified for the OPEN FINAL in 5th place - well done, Charlie! In the evening's final, he was slightly off this PB and came in 10th.
