An excellent start to Nationals for Meghan Byrne (13 yrs) who swam a 59.53* this morning to qualify as second fastest for the final of the 100 free. In the final, Meghan swam a hugely impressive 58.70* for a BRONZE medal. Well done, Meghan!
* I am informed by Andy that both these times beat Meghan's own Barnet Copthall club record set in April. She certainly chose a great time to swim PBs
....... well ..... frisbee expert! Many people, Barnet Copthall masters swimmers among them, combine swimming with other sports. Running certainly, and often running and cycling, but frisbee throwing - not a combination many go for. Anyway, Alice is off to Lecco in Italy next week for the World Championships of Ultimate Frisbee and everyone at Barnet Copthall wishes her and her team the very best of luck. Her competition starts on 2nd August.
