BCSC swimmers share Middlesex success at Inter Counties

Freddie Cornwell, Yaron Gerber, Felix Cheng & Meghan Byrne were part of a 24 strong Middlesex team that travelled to Ponds Forge, Sheffield to take part in the British Gas ASA National County Team Championships on Sunday. This is a well established, prestigious event with 39 teams from England, Scotland and Wales competing, with the best of the countries swimming talent aged 12-17 years on show.

Middlesex improved on their fourth place of last year to finish third behind the mighty Lancashire and Yorkshire teams and once again become the highest ranked Southern team.

Andy Woska BCSC Chairman who travelled with the team as the current President of MCASA commented “This was an excellent performance from our swimmers, many of whom were swimming in this competition for the first time. For Middlesex to finish in third place shows the strength in depth across the County given that some of our senior swimmers were not available”.
