Despite the arctic weather and treacherous driving conditions, a strong squad of age group and senior swimmers attended the heavily oversubscribed Hillingdon Winter Long Course Meet at the weekend. The swimmers had not been rested for this meet and with particular reference to the younger swimmers, were using it as an opportunity to gain experience and improve on times in a 50m pool. Congratulations must therefore go to the following medal winners:
10 year old girls: Olivia Cichon 1st in 200 Breastroke
11 year old boys: Harris Bandey 1st in 200 fly, 2nd in 50 back, 2nd in 100 free; Konstantin Kapanadze 1st in 400im, 3rd in 200 Back; William Keegan 3rd in 400im, 2nd in 200 Fly, 3rd in 400 Free; Joe Zlotnick 1st in 100 free, 3rd in 200 fly
11 year old girls: Paige Powell 1st in 100 Fly, 3rd in 400IM; Alice Bell 3rd in 400 Free
12 year old girls: Chihiro Hayashi 2nd in 50 Back, 1st in 100 and 200 Back
12 year old boys: Freddie Cornwell 1st in 400IM, 1st in 100 Free, 2nd in 200 Back
13 year old girls: Emily Bell 3rd in 400IM, 2nd in 200 Fly
13 year old boys: George Kapanadze 3rd in 400IM; Aiden Doherty 3rd in 50 Back, 3rd in 50 fly
16 year old girls: Jo-Anne Zambelli 2nd in 400IM
16 and over boys, Charlie Boldison 1st in 200 back
